Inflation is Nigeria's consumer price index as the IMF republishes it: the change in the all-items index on twelve months, and on the previous month, as the IMF publishes them. The National Bureau of Statistics rebased the index to 2024 prices in January 2025, with a new basket, so rates before and after that month are not strictly comparable. The interest rate is the Central Bank of Nigeria's Monetary Policy Rate as the IMF republishes it, which runs some months behind the central bank's decisions; the tile shows the month of the latest figure.

Unemployment is the International Labour Organization's modelled annual estimate, published by the World Bank, not the National Bureau of Statistics' own survey figure. GDP and growth are annual, from the World Bank; Nigeria's quarterly national accounts are not available to automated downloads.

There is no monthly goods trade series on this page: the IMF does not republish Nigeria's monthly trade data, and the National Bureau of Statistics publishes it only as reports. Where UN Comtrade holds Nigeria's annual figures, the trading partners below show them, in US dollars.
Goods trade only. Services aren't covered by this data source and aren't shown here, so relationships that lean heavily on services may be understated.

Debt and the budget balance are the IMF World Economic Outlook's general government figures, actual years only, so estimates and projections never appear as data.

The exchange rate is the World Bank's annual average official rate, shown from 1999, when the official and market rates were unified; before that the official rate was fixed and was not a market rate. There is no 10-year government bond yield or business confidence index: no free series covers Nigeria.
