Inflation is the EU's harmonised index (HICP), the measure the ECB targets; the Croatian Bureau of Statistics headlines its national CPI, which can differ by a few tenths. Croatia joined the euro on 1 January 2023 and has had no policy rate of its own since: the rate shown is the European Central Bank's deposit facility rate, from that date. Croatian news often quotes the employment service's registered unemployment rate instead, a different measure.
