New Zealand measures its consumers price index quarterly, not monthly, so the inflation figures update four times a year; the rates are worked out to one decimal place from Stats NZ's all-items index, as republished by the OECD. The interest rate is the Reserve Bank's official cash rate, shown from April 1999, the first full month of the OCR.
