Inflation is Egypt's consumer price index as the IMF republishes it: the change in the all-items index on twelve months, and on the previous month, as the IMF publishes them. There is no interest rate on this page: the IMF's most recent Central Bank of Egypt rate is more than a year old, too old to show as current, and the central bank's own site does not allow automated downloads.

Unemployment is the International Labour Organization's modelled annual estimate, published by the World Bank, not CAPMAS' own survey figure. GDP and growth are annual, from the World Bank, for Egypt's fiscal years (July to June, labelled by the year in which they end); Egypt's quarterly national accounts are not available to automated downloads.

Goods trade is Egypt's monthly data as the IMF republishes it, in US dollars, converted to Egyptian pounds at each month's average exchange rate from the Bank for International Settlements. Exports are valued free on board, imports including cost, insurance and freight. The IMF publishes it some months after the month it covers. In the IMF's figures for February 2016 exports and imports are the wrong way round; this page shows them corrected.
Goods trade only. Services aren't covered by this data source and aren't shown here, so relationships that lean heavily on services may be understated.

Illustrative fallback shows 13 major partners. Once live, every partner UN Comtrade has data for is fetched: the radial view shows the top 20 by value, the map shows the top 50, and the ranking list can be expanded to show the top 50 too.

Debt and the budget balance are the IMF World Economic Outlook's general government figures, actual years only, so estimates and projections never appear as data.

The exchange rate is the World Bank's annual average official rate, shown from 1991, when the official rates were unified; before that the rate was fixed and was not a market rate. The pound was floated in November 2016 and again in March 2024, and fell sharply both times. There is no 10-year government bond yield or business confidence index: no free series covers Egypt.
