The Economic Atlas

Roadmap

What's next, and what's already been ruled in or out, updated as work happens, not as a promise of dates.

Roadmap

  1. Monetary Policy Dashboard + AI MPC meeting summaries: the Bank Rate vote record (rate, vote split, economic context, links to primary sources) is live on the UK Inflation tab. Next: AI-generated, neutral summaries of each Monetary Policy Summary and minutes, reorganised into fixed factual categories with no commentary or opinion, clearly labelled as AI-generated and reviewed before publishing -- a genuine departure from the site's "data first, no commentary" principle, so it'll be done carefully rather than quickly.
  2. Labour market breakdowns: 16-24 unemployment and the breakdown of why people are economically inactive are both live on the UK Labour tab, from real ONS data. Remaining: the other age bands (25-49, 50-64, 65+), currently shown as illustrative placeholders pending a fuller ONS series.
  3. Next Countries: the site is currently too Western/major-economy-weighted for something calling itself an atlas, so expansion is organised in tiers, global breadth first. Tier 1 (Brazil, Morocco, Israel, South Africa, Mexico) and Tier 2 (individual Eurozone member countries as their own pages) are both live; Tier 3 isn't decided yet.
  4. Markets: FX, equity indices and gilt yields alongside the macro data.
